Pioneer Site Rules

Notice: Accessing these Pioneer Site Rules, including by clicking a link that leads to them, shall not be deemed or construed as consent to, or agreement with, the contents of these Pioneer Site Rules. Accessing or clicking on any links contained within these Pioneer Site Rules shall not constitute or be construed as assent to, or acceptance of, these Pioneer Site Rules.

Agreement to these Pioneer Site Rules occurs only when you click buttons or links elsewhere on the Website that are not part of these Pioneer Site Rules.

1. Be civil and respectful.

Treat all other users with courtesy and respect. Personal attacks, harassment, intimidation, and threatening behavior are not tolerated. Focus on the project and the content, not the person.

Racism, sexism, homophobia, and other bigotry is not allowed.

2. Assume good faith.

Assume that others are trying to improve the wiki, unless their behavior clearly proves otherwise. Misunderstandings are common; calmly discuss disagreements instead of escalating to conflict.
Collaborate, don't control. This is a shared project. No single user "owns" a page or topic, and any contribution may be edited by others. Work toward consensus rather than engaging in edit wars.

3. Please, do not spam or self-promote.

The wiki should not be used for advertising, link farming, or excessively promoting external websites, products, or services.

4. Stay on topic.

All (page) content must be relevant to the Pioneers and Gremmenton, or any other "official" category. Off-topic pages or edits may be removed.

5. Avoid plagiarism.

Do not copy and paste text directly from other copyrighted works. All content should be written in your own words, and sources should be properly attributed when necessary.
Use clear and descriptive page titles. Title new pages with specific and relevant names to help others navigate the wiki.

6. Organize and link pages.

To maintain readability, avoid "bloated" pages. Create new pages for related topics and use links to connect them.

7. No discriminatory or offensive material.

Content that promotes discrimination, hate speech, or is defamatory or obscene is strictly prohibited and will be removed.

8. Use original work and avoid illegal activity.

Do not contribute content that infringes on copyright or involves illegal activity, such as posting illegal downloads.

9. No hotlinking for the purpose of stealing bandwidth.

Please, don't do it. Definitely not towards any smaller sites.

Forum and discussion rules

1. Read before you post.

Before starting a new discussion, check if the topic has already been covered by an existing thread to avoid duplicate conversations.

2. Keep it on-topic.

Forum threads are for discussions related to the wiki and its projects. Do not derail conversations or use the forum for irrelevant topics.

3. Respect the community.

Do not harass or insult other members. Disagree with ideas, not people. Treat new users with patience.

4. No doxxing or sharing private information.

Do not share the private, personal information of other users (or, really, yourself) under any circumstances. This is a serious violation that will result in a ban.

5. Be patient with the staff.

Forum administrators and moderators are real people. Avoid excessive messages and respect their time.

6. Do not spam in threads.

Repeatedly posting the same message is considered spamming and clutters the forum.

7. Remember how your posts are licensed.

Any text you post that you yourself own copyright to and that comes from your post itself (it is not from another site, another work of text, or anywhere outside of your post) is dedicated to the public domain under the CC0 Public Domain Dedication. By posting, you waive all copyright and neighboring rights to your post.

You must follow the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (applies to the whole site).

Unless otherwise stated, the text content of this page is dedicated to the public domain under the CC0 Public Domain Dedication.
